Donations from Bromsgrove's Amber Support Services are boost for Wychbold and Droitwich Baby Bank

AMBER Support Day Service – based in Bromsgrove – has helped out Wychbold and Droitwich Baby Bank with generous donations

The move was aimed at making a positive impact in both the lives of Amber’s clients and the local community.

Amber Support actively promoted the baby bank cause within the company and across social media.

Thanks to the generosity of employees, clients, and the broader community, they successfully collected a wide array of baby clothes, toys, and books for children aged 0 to four years old.

And it was not just donations – at Amber Urban, the clients participated in sorting through all the donated items, ensuring each piece of clothing and every toy was in good condition and ready for redistribution.

This hands-on involvement not only supported the Baby Bank but also provided the clients with a meaningful way to give back, fostering a sense of community and purpose.

Once sorted, the donations were packed with care and creativity, as the clients hand-painted and personalised each donation box with bright, inspiring colours to spread joy and positivity.

Amber Support prides itself on enriching lives and this scheme was a testament to their ongoing efforts to make a difference within the community.

By partnering with Wychbold and Droitwich Baby Bank, Amber aimed to ensure local families in need received essential baby items, helping to alleviate some of the financial pressures faced by parents.

Katie Mahasoh, Amber Urban’s deputy manager, said “Amber Support remains dedicated to creating impactful, community-driven projects that foster connection and support for those who need it most.”

Coun Rick Deller, who set up the Wychbold and Droitwich Baby Bank, added: “We are so thankful to Amber Support for this incredible generous initiative to support us.

“Since launching in January 2023 we have supported over 350 familes, so this support will go such a long way.

“I had the pleasure to visit Amber Support Services when we received these items and saw what a wonderful job Amber support do.

“The impact of these donations will be far reaching.

“We are very grateful for their donation.”

Wychbold and Droitwich Baby Bank runs sessions at the Wychbold Village Hall, Wychbold, from 10am to 11.30am on the last Saturday of the month (expect August and December).
