CHILDREN at Little Trinity Nursery in Kidderminster enjoyed lots of fun and craft activities as part of their annual Eid celebrations.
The children participated in a variety of educational and creative activities, including using texture trays to locate numbered stars, creating henna designs and learning about Eid, which marks the conclusion of the Muslim celebration of Ramadan.
It also formed part of their inclusive curriculum designed to observe and celebrate numerous special days from various cultures from around the world each year.
Nursery manager, Gaynor Carter, said: “We always mark significant events in the year and this year Eid and Mother’s Day fell on the same day so for a change we decided to focus our activities on Eid so the children could gain an understanding of this celebration in addition to undertaking our usual Mothers’ Day activities.
“The children thoroughly enjoyed creating henna hand patterns and exploring the rice tray, as well as participating in all the other craft activities.
“We wish all families celebrating Eid on Sunday our best wishes and that all mums also enjoy their special day.”
