Events galore for Bromsgrove Festival

Tristan Harris 17th Jun, 2025

MORE THAN 60 events will take place between Saturday, June 21, and July 20 as part of the annual Bromsgrove Festival.

The extravaganza begins on June 21 with the annual Court Leet Fair Day and Street Market in Bromsgrove High Street.

It celebrates the historic charter granted to the town in 1199 by King John which gave permission for an annual Midsummer’s Day Fair every year.

The event begins with a colourful traditional procession by members of the Court Leet to the High Street.

After the proclamation of the Charter by the Bailiff Mark Robinson, there will be the assize of goods, including ale, bread and flesh (meat).

The fun-filled afternoon is free for everyone to attend and follows the Court Leet ceremony.
