A BLAZE broke out at the former Kidderminster Fire Station on Thursday evening.
Two crews – one from Kidderminster and one from Bromsgrove – were sent to the acene at 6.16pm.
The blaze was in the appliance bay of the former Kidderminster Fire Station in Castle Road.
Firefighters uses water jets to extinguish the fire and crews carried out a full search of the building without finding any further fires or casualties. Positive pressure ventilation was used to clear smoke from the building.
The premises were boarded up and the alarm silenced and re-set.
West Mercia Police also attended and have since said the fire was started when a pile of wood was set alight and spread to the building.
The incident is being treated as arson.
