A PYLON in Chaddesley Corbett caught fire and the blaze spread to tree tops.
The incident happened around 10pm on Sunday with the cables arcing onto Hemming Way.
Firefighters from Bromsgrove attended the scene and called in engineers from National Grid who isolated the cables remotely.
There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required.
The incident was dealt with by 11.21pm.
