GRITTING team will be hitting the roads in Worcestershire today for the first time this season as temperatures are set to drop to below zero.
Worcestershire County Council’s gritters have been treating primary, secondary and snow plus routes from 7.30pm.
A cold health amber alert has been issued for the West Midlands, starting today (Nov 18) until 6pm on 23 Nov.
According to the Met Office, heavy rain is forecast until the early hours and then sleet is predicted from 2am across Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport.
