CHILDREN at Hartlebury CE Primary School ‘absolutely love’ the £10,000 revamp which has transformed their breakfast club and after-school base.
The mobile building has been given a new lease of life thanks to funding from the village’s Queen Elizabeth I Foundation.
Staff and pupils marked Valentine’s Day with a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to the foundation for its support.
Toni Branagh, assistant headteacher, said: “We are so grateful for the grant which has enabled us to create a much-improved room.
“With new flooring, redecoration, new furniture, games and toys, it has made such a difference.
“It’s a much calmer environment too and has a lovely reading corner.”
And she added it provided more scope for the building to be used during the day.
“We can also use it for intervention work during the school day as well as our popular breakfast and after-school provision.”
