A RAILTOUR which is set to travel through the scenic mountains of mid-Wales and the Cambrian Coast will be calling at Worcester Shrub Hill and Kidderminster next month, writes Neil Gordon.
Pathfinder Tours ‘Cambrian Coast Express’ will be visiting Barmouth, Porthmadog, Criccieth and Pwllheli on Friday, May 16 providing passengers with the opportunity to visit popular resorts and historic seaside towns.
The train is expected to be hauled by a class 47 or class 57 locomotive between Bristol and Shrewsbury and back, while a class 37 and a Network Rail class 97/3 (former class 37) will work the train between Shrewsbury and Pwllheli, and the return journey back to Shrewsbury.
Provisional times are Worcester Shrub Hill station 7.30am pick-up and 11.35pm set-down, with the train also calling at Kidderminster.
