HoW College students to undertake skydive for the Royal British Legion

TWO college students are raising funds for the Royal British Legion (RBL) by doing a charity skydive.

Mia Argyle and Tegan Milne are studying uniformed protective services at Heart of Worcestershire College.

Throughout their lessons they have learnt the importance of public and military service and have decided to raise money and awareness for all those who have made the sacrifices that provide everyone with the freedom they enjoy today.

Their goal is to raise donations towards The Royal British Legion to aid the serving armed forces, veterans and their families.

To do so, they will conquer their biggest fear – heights – by completing a skydive out of a plane at 14,000ft.

They have smashed their target of £1,000 but hope to raise as much as possible.

Mia said: “Fear has always been holding me back and keeping me within my comfort zone, but I believe I can prove to myself and others that I am strong, and I can face my fears head on. At the end of the day life is meant to be lived to the fullest.

“And I believe it is about seizing opportunities, embracing challenges and making the most out of the time we have.”

Tegan added: “It has always been a dream of mine to complete a skydive, and what better way than honouring a cause that is close to my heart.”

As students in uniformed protective services, they are training to serve and protect our community with courage, dedication and resilience.

These core values align with the mission of the Royal British Legion, an organisation that has been a lifeline for members and beneficiaries of the Armed Forces community since 1921.

By participating in a charity skydive for the RBL, the pair said they would not only be supporting a worthy cause but also enhancing their own growth and sense of duty.
