KIDDERMINSTER town centre’s historic Old Court will be opening for business in the next few weeks, writes Gabrielle Brown.
More than 70 local business leaders, partners and councillors celebrated the launch of the new-look building on Thursday.
The Grade II listed building has been repurposed into Kidderminster’s business and creative hub with office and event spaces available to rent.
Coun Marcus Hart, leader of Wyre Forest District Council, said: “This transformation will play a key role in renewing and reshaping Kidderminster town centre, developing a highly visible gateway building whilst repurposing a significant historic asset.”
The transformation of the former Magistrates Court by Wyre Forest District council was funded through council and the Future High Streets Funds – the former governments funding scheme to transform struggling high streets.
The opening event saw tours of the building and presentations about its restoration.
