MEMBERS of the Severn Valley Railway donned their best 1940s attire and headed underground to see how a Wyre Forest hillside had been turned into an important Second World War feature.
The group, which included members young and old, were transported back in time inside Drakelow Tunnels in Kidderminster by tour guide Julian Small.

After the guided tour, a spokesperson for the group told Julian: “The 1940s group enjoyed the tour ever so much and learnt a lot about local history, the vintage bus looked really great outside the tunnels and we look forward to being able to visit again.”
