A KIDDERMINSTER man has appeared in court, accused of stealing from elderly people during burglaries.

The homes in Halesowen and Pedmore were targeted.

Investigations were launched after incidents were reported on April 8 and 10, where a man entered the homes of an 77-year-old man and a 100-year-old woman and distracted them into handing over money.

Investigations were launched which led to the arrest of a 55-year-old man in Kidderminster on Wednesday morning.

Daniel Hemmings, from Kidderminster, was subsequently charged with two counts of burglary and one count of fraud by false representation.

The 55-year-old appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court yesterday morning (Thursday).
