WYRE Forest District Council has announced the closures of two areas due to safety concerns.

Brinton Park splashpad – temporary closure

The Brinton Park splashpad is closed until further notice due to a technical problem which requires urgent attention.

The council said its team was working hard behind the scenes to fix the problem and get the splashpad back open as soon as possible.

It added updates would be provided as and when the authority had them.

“We understand this is disappointing news, especially as families and children look forward to enjoying it during warmer days.”

Blakemarsh Nature Reserve

The boardwalk across the marsh is closed, due to a broken section needing to be repaired.

Repairs will take place this week.

A Wyre Forest District Council spokesperson said: “Please stay on open paths and avoid the closed area.

“Thanks for your understanding while we make it safe again.”
