A FREE bike-marking event will take place in Kidderminster between 2pm and 3pm this Saturday, January 18.
The event, organised by the Oldington and Foley Park Safer Neighbourhood Team, will be held at Brintons Park.
It will provide a great opportunity for people to protect their possessions and have a chat with officers about other crime prevention methods.
Police bike marking schemes offer several advantages – they deter theft by making bikes traceable and less attractive to criminals, assist in recovering stolen bikes, promote community safety and raise awareness about theft prevention.
They also encourage responsible bike ownership and crime reporting.
