Kidderminster's Santa Fun Run returns

Holly Clement 17th Oct, 2024

Kidderminster’s most festive event is back, with the Santa Fun Run raising cash for KEMP.

Taking place on December 1, at Brinton Park, the run offers the perfect way to kick off the holiday season with some jolly exercise.

Hosted by KEMP Hospice, this annual event promises festive fun for all ages while raising funds for a vital cause – supporting people living with life-limiting illnesses and those facing bereavement.

Participants can choose from a variety of routes to suit all abilities and ages, including a timed 10k route for serious runners, a 5k family run, and a special 1k Kids Santa Dash for the little ones.

Furry friends can get in on the action with the return of the popular 1k Doggy Dash – complete with optional Christmas fancy dress for both humans and dogs.

This year, Carrigan Events and Load Street Studios will be on hand to provide music and entertainment, adding extra cheer to the atmosphere.

Before the run begins, the team from Bewdley Bootcamp will lead a festive warm-up session to get everyone ready for the fun ahead.

Runners and spectators can also enjoy hot drinks and seasonal treats available for purchase after completing their routes.

KEMP is aiming to raise £20,000 from this year’s event, and so far, over £300 has been donated by 21 supporters.

The cash raised will help make Christmas a little brighter for those dealing with serious illness or the loss of a loved one.
