A MAN has been seriously injured in a crash in Kidderminster this afternoon.
The collision happened at 2.07pm at the junction of Lower Mill Street and Park Butts Ringway.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene.
A driver training unit from the WMAS Academy was also in attendance after coming across the incident and offering assistance.
Crews found the car had left the road and a man in a critical condition. He was receiving basic life support from bystanders and ambulance staff immediately took over to administer advanced life support.
He was taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital with the MERIT trauma doctor travelling on board to continue treatment en route.
