THE MAYOR OF Bewdley, Coun Nicole Harper, has announced the dates for a series of events to support her chosen charities, writes Jeanna Karcz.
There are a variety of activities to generate cash for three good causes – the William Mills Foundation, Emily Jordan Foundation and Rob Poysor Fund for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
The William Mills Foundation, formed in 2018, supports young people across Worcestershire, focused on positively influencing their lives and breaking down barriers which prevent them from reaching their potential.
The Emily Jordan Foundation runs projects, teaching people with learning disabilities practical work-based skills with an aim of helping them find and remain in employment.
The Rob Poysor Fund for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) aims to reduce the frequency of young cardiac deaths through supporting CRY’s screening programme within local communities.
The first event organised will be a quiz night at 7pm on September 26 at St George’s Hall.
Then, on February 14 next year, there will be a Valentine’s Day dinner at the Pines Golf Club at 7pm.
On March 13 next year, a fashion show will be held at St George’s Hall at 7pm.
And at 2pm on April 25, a concert will be held at St Anne’s Church.
