Members of the Worcester to Birmingham and Droitwich Canals Society clean up woodland

MEMBERS of the Worcester to Birmingham and Droitwich Canals Society put on their rubber gloves to tidy up an area of woodland being used to dump rubbish.

Scarfield Dingle – as it is known as – is very close to the Worcester to Birmingham Canal and not far from Alvechurch Railway Station.

It has fallen victim to the constant dumping of household waste, trolleys and furniture.

Volunteers spent the day clearing the area, taking away several black sacks worth of rubbish.
