NEW ARTWORK by the renowned street-artist Disney has appeared in Bromsgrove town centre, writes Neil Gordon.
The image of a child crying was applied to a wall near the town’s bus station earlier this month by the anonymous street-artist.

The image has been painted in the artist’s signature style which draws similarities to the works of famous stencil artist Banksy.
It comes after earlier examples of Disney’s works have appeared in Bromsgrove and Droitwich.
Previous works
Last year the Standard reported on a Disney artwork which featured a crouched down monkey with headphones and Nike trainers on, which was created on a wall at the Hop Pole Inn on Birmingham Road.
Other artwork by the Birmingham artist includes a black and white silhouette of a soldier alongside a bright red poppy, and the words ‘Lest We Forget’, at Big Dave’s Café, Worcester Road, on Armistice Day 2023.
And, two years ago in Droitwich a thought-provoking piece of artwork depicting a child watching a television set with the words ‘DON’T THINK’ on the screen, was applied to the former Town Hall building.
Meaning behind this latest work?
A photograph of the latest Bromsgrove artwork was posted on Disney’s Instagram account, Disney.b32, on February 5.
Meanwhile, staff at Market Plaice chip shop next to the latest artwork, said they like the image and added it would be nice to know of any message behind it.
One observation of the work is of the adjacent water hydrant sign which could be a reference to the child’s tears.
