A NEW documentary airing on BBC next week will give viewers an inside look into the investigative work of West Mercia Police.
The BBC Two series, Murder 24/7, will provide an unprecedented glimpse into the force’s efforts to solve some of the most serious and complex crimes within Worcestershire and Shropshire.
The series follows murder cases from the chilling initial 999 calls right through to convictions at court. It shines a light on the ‘relentless dedication and specialist expertise’ of officers and staff across the force in their pursuit of justice for victims and their families.
Chief Constable Richard Cooper said: “Murder 24/7 offers a powerful and unfiltered look at the extraordinary teamwork and compassion shown by our officers and staff in the most heartbreaking of circumstances.
“These are not just investigations—they are stories of real people, real loss, and the pursuit of justice. We will always remember that behind every case is a life lost and loved ones left behind, who must never be forgotten.”
The first three episodes of the series will air at 9pm on Monday (June 16), Tuesday (June 17) and Wednesday (June 18) on BBC Two. Episodes will also be available on BBC iPlayer.
