AN APPEAL has been launched by Stourport Police for the public’s help on tracking down illegal riders of electric/scrambler bikes which have been blighting the town.
Stourport Police Safer Neighbourhood Team have received numerous reports of anti-social riding and those on the bikes have no helmets or registration plates which means they are breaking the law.
The flowerbeds at Lickhill Memorial Park were destroyed by an unknown person riding illegal electric bikes over them on Saturday (May 31).
And this afternoon, attendants were there repairing the damage and replacing the flowers.
They were approached by a youth on an electric bike who threatened to return later and cause further damage.
A spokesperson said: “We are reaching out to members of the public for help on tracing where these bikes are being kept and who is riding them.”
People can report incidents to 101 or call 999 if a crime is in progress.
