PUPILS at Wilden All Saints CE Primary School are raising funds for some ‘buddy’ seating in the corner of the playground.

And they are hoping ‘every little helps’ as they bid to finish first in the Tesco Stronger Starts vote.

There are three worthy bids for customers to choose from, with the school having guaranteed bagging at least £500 – if enough people choose their project to win, they would finish up with £1,500.

Customers can vote with blue tokens, given on all purchases in Tesco stores throughout Wyre Forest until March 31.

The school’s headteacher, Charlotte McDonald, said; “We are excited to have been chosen by Tesco to go forward to the voting stage and hope customers will choose our product.

“It’s a sunny spot with artificial turf laid ready for some seating, where children can go if they need to find a friend to play with or chat to.”

The Tesco Stronger Starts grant programme, delivered in partnership with Groundwork UK, helps schools and community groups support physical health and mental wellbeing.
