Redditch county councillor Joanne Monk elected as Reform UK group leader

REFORM UK Worcestershire councillors have elected Joanne Monk, councillor for Redditch East, as group leader.

Coun Monk has been a county councillor for the Conservatives for the last four years, but crossed the floor in the last year to stand for Reform.

She previously worked in the NHS, construction and real estate and large-scale organisations at a senior level, as well as owning several successful businesses.

Reform UK won 27 out of 57 seats on Worcestershire County Council in the recent local election, becoming the largest group on the council.

Group leader of Reform UK on Worcestershire County Council Joanne Monk said: “It’s an honour and a privilege to have been elected leader of the Reform UK group on Worcestershire County Council.

“What we have achieved here is incredible. From a standing start we are now the largest party on the council. The people of Worcestershire have given us a clear mandate for serious change and we fully intend to deliver that.”
