REMINDER - Christmas and New Year bin collection times across Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport

Tristan Harris 20th Dec, 2024

RESIDENTS across Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport are reminded that their refuse and recycling bin collection times could change over Christmas and New Year.

Because of the bank holidays, the collections due on Christmas Day (Wednesday, December 25) will take place two days earlier on Monday, December 23.

Collections due on Boxing Day (Thursday, December 26) will this year take place on Saturday, December 28.

And those due to have their bins collected on New Year’s Day (Wednesday, January 1, 2025) will have theirs collected on Monday, December 30.

Residents are urged to ensure their bin is out by 6am on the revised collection day. These are the only planned changes over the festive period.

People are also reminded not to cause an obstruction to their neighbours, pedestrians or vehicles but make sure bins are easily accessible.

For households with communal bin stores, bins will normally be collected from the stores provided they are open and not blocked by vehicles.

Anyone unsure where the best place is to put their bin for collection should contact Wyre Forest District Council which will advise.

Anyone needing help getting their bin out for collection should request a pull out service.
