BIG-HEARTED pupils and staff at a schools in Stourport and Kidderminster saw red as they raised hundreds of pounds for Comic Relief, writes Lydia Gee.
Generosity and culinary creativity swept through the Stourport High School and VI Form College, generating £277 for this year’s Red Nose Day.
Scores of mouth-watering cakes and cookies were made, giving interim headteacher Dr Lizzy Ford a difficult judging job. The accolade of ‘Bake-Off winners’ finally went to Poppy Evans and Isla Clayton.
The tempting delights were eagerly snapped up at break time with the tables clear in record time.
Meanwhile, children at Hartlebury CE Primary School dressed in red, raised £173 and enjoyed fun classroom activities finding out all about the work of Comic Relief.
