BEWDLEY marked VE Day 80 with a special service outside the town’s St Anne’s Church on Thursday.
The event – organised by Bewdley Town Council – was well attended and featured the lighting of a special beacon to mark the occasion.

During the service, the Royal British Legion Standard was lowered and there was a two-minute silence to remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Earlier in the day, a special VE Day 80 flag was raised above the Town Hall to mark the special occasion.
A Bewdley Town Council spokesperson said: “It was lovely to see so many of people supporting their local community.”
