TWO BROTHERS  from Stourport who have neurodivergent needs have been granted a shopping spree by a national health and beauty retailer, writes Maya Evans.

As a part of Superdrug’s Wish Upon A Star Competition the brothers, Arlo, aged five, and Corey, 11, won a trip to a toy shop complete with a spending budget of £150 each.

Under the campaign, people were given the opportunity to make personalised wishes for those in need. Over 2,500 requests were made which were then narrowed down to 14 lucky winners.

Both boys have neurodivergent needs and were entered into the competition by their mum Sara.

Sara’s struggle with fibromyalgia, as well as her role as a carer to both boys, means that she is currently unable to work, leading to financial strain. As a result, she wanted to do something special for her children.

She said “I wanted them to be able to walk into a toy shop and be able to pick any toys they desire and help them to realise they are not weird or stupid, but unique in their own ways.”
