OFSTED has praised Stourport Primary Academy for its dedicated staff and high quality education, earning the school a ‘good’ ranking in all categories, writes Aine McLean.
The school, which is part of the Severn Academies Educational Trust, has been recognised as being supportive and committed to its pupils’ education by an Ofsted inspector.
It has been acknowledged by the inspector that pupils’ behaviour was ‘considerate and respectful’ with a well-sequenced and well-planned curriculum seeming to consistently hold high expectations.
Headteacher Alison Maybury said: “I am delighted the inspector recognised the many strengths of our school, the dedication and knowledge of our staff, and that our children are at the heart of everything we do.”
The primary academy reportedly took ‘effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection’ – a fact consolidating Ofsted’s ‘good’ rating in terms of the Stourport school’s quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management.
