Stourport residents urged to have their say on local issues at PCC's 'Community Conversation' event

Kidderminster Editorial 30th Jul, 2025

WEST MERCIA Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion is hosting a ‘Community Conversation’ in Stourport where residents can air their views on issues affecting their community.

The evening will focus on ensuring the voices of the Stourport collective are at the heart of positive change for the area.

The event will be held at Areley Kings Village Hall from 6pm on August 13.

It will provide an opportunity for residents to hear from Mr Campion and officers from the Stourport Police Safer Neighbourhood Team.

Attendees will be able to ask questions and raise any issues in their area which disturb or concern them.

Attendees should visit west mercia-pcc.gov.uk/community conversation to register their attendance.

Mr Campion said: “I have received correspondence from local communities about concerns in relation to crime and anti-social behaviour in Stourport.

“I am reassured that West Mercia Police is taking those reports seriously, but I want to give the whole community a platform to have their say so we can ensure all concerns are being acted on.

Previous Community Conversations have highlighted the real difference communities can make, so I would encourage you to come along.”
