A TEENAGER has been banned from two shopping areas in Stourport unless he is with a responsible adult due to anti-social behaviour.
Barrie Smith, aged 14, of Broomy Close, Stourport, was given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) at Worcester Youth Court in a bid to curb his anti-social antics.
Under the CBO, which runs for 12 months, he is banned from entering any shop on Lombard Street and Queen’s Road, Stourport, unless he is with a responsible adult.
He is also unable to be in a public place with four named individuals – their names are unable to be used because of legal reasons.
The CBO was applied for by West Mercia Police following Smith’s involvement in anti-social behaviour in the town which was having a detrimental impact on residents, businesses and the community.
Anyone who sees Smith breaching the order should report it to police as soon as possible – online here or by calling officers on 101.
West Mercia Police’s Safer Neighbourhood Inspector for Wyre Forest Daniel Poucher said: “This a positive step towards tackling ongoing antisocial behaviour in Stourport-on-Severn.
“The local Safer Neighbourhood Team is continuing to work hard to support the community and address the issue by stopping those responsible.
“This behaviour is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.”
