TWO MEN were treated for potentially serious injuries and taken to hospital after a serious crash in Kidderminster on Tuesday morning.
The collision, which involved a car and a van, happened around 6.45am on the A450 in Torton, Hartlebury.
West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were all called to the scene.
The car driver managed to get himself out of the vehicle before the fire service’s arrival but the van driver was physically trapped.
Firefighters – one crew each from Bromsgrove and Wyre Forest Fire Stations – freed the man so he could be treated by paramedics.
After being treated at the scene, the pair were taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
