THE FAMILY of Amanda Hull who was missing from Droitwich for more than a week have thanked everyone involved in the search to find her.

The vulnerable 42-year-old had not been seen since January 7 and CCTV took the search from Droitwich to Worcester and then to London.

She was located in the Capital earlier this week and taken to Redditch. There she spent the night in the Premier Inn and was due to return home the next morning.

But, instead, she headed to Birmingham New Street and was then seen taking a train to Bournemouth.

There were concerns about her wellbeing as she had no money or phone.

After sightings at Bournemouth Pier and railway station it was then ascertained she had gone back to London.

There she was seen by a 12-year-old at Picadilly Circus who reported the sighting and Amanda was found.

Family statement

In a statement on the Amanda Hull – Missing Facebook page, the family said: “Thank you to everyone that supported the family to get Amanda home safely.”

Her sister Kate added: “We appreciate everyone’s support over the last nine days and we’re hugely grateful to the 12 year old that spotted her this afternoon and reported to her mother after a school trip.

“As you can imagine we need to give Amanda a lot of support and time to get over what’s gone on.”

Posting a picture of the family dog, she wrote: “Freddie’s got his mum back.”
