UPDATE - Work to repair Stourport's Riverside Paddling Pool is to get under way

STOURPORT-on-Severn Town Council has given an update on the Riverside Paddling Pool, announcing that the work to repair it are set to start next month, writes Charlie Canning.

The council notified residents in April the pool would not be fixed in time for this summer season.

This was due to complex repairs on the pool which required the attention of specialist contractors.

The plan now is to have the paddling pool re-open in time for the 2026 summer season but the council added, it was reliant on clearly dry weather in order to re-lay the pool’s surface.

The council added: “We recognise what an important asset the Riverside Paddling Pool is.

“We are working towards getting it open soon as we possibly can, whilst ensuring that the paddling pool is a safe and well-loved attraction that is available for future generations of children.”
