URGENT APPEAL - 12 host families for French exchange students left to find in Bromsgrove, south Birmingham, Redditch or Droitwich

Tristan Harris 22nd Mar, 2025

THE ORGANISERS of a French exchange student scheme have re-appealed for more host families to come forward.

Host families are being sought in Bromsgrove, Rubery, Longbridge, Northfield, Redditch and Droitwich for French students, teachers and a coach driver who are coming over in April.

A previous appeal in the Standard has gleaned host families in the above areas but another 12 are needed for the first group which arrives on April 1 and stays until April 4.

The second group are coming from April 28 to May 1.

Those who can provide rooms will be financially rewarded and the students will be out all day on each of the days on trips and excursions in the local area.

Hosts need to be within commutable driving distance from Bromsgrove and Longbridge and will also get to share their language, food and culture, as well as learn about French food, language and culture.

A total of 100 families are needed across the areas and there is no need for hosts to be able to speak French.

Anyone who can help should call or text Lisa Mistry on 07702 504495 or email: [email protected] to find out more and express an interest in becoming a host.
