THIS time lapse video shows all the work completed on restoring the 16.5-mile stretch of track on the Severn Valley Railway that was severely damaged by the landslip at the end of January.
The incident at Mor Brook bridge cut off the section of the route and no services were able to use the stretch.
But, this Friday, the world famous ‘Flying Scotsman’ will herald the line’s reopening and haul the first passenger train along the length of the Severn Valley Railway when it fully reopens.
The locomotive 60103 will undertake the journey when the northernmost section is reunited with the rest of the line.
Ahead of this weekend’s celebration, SVR released the video above so people could see exactly how the work was carried out and how the line was restored.
