A FORMER press photographer and mental health advocate from Kidderminster is launching the second of her wellbeing photography courses.
The sessions, which encourage people to ‘capture mindfulness through the lens’ are run by Miriam Cunliffe following a successful inaugural wellbeing photography course last year.
Students who undertook the first course expressed their enjoyment about the sessions and one has since set up her own photography business having gained more confidence behind the camera.
Another added: “Thank you so much for the great wellbeing and photography course.
“It’s given me something new to explore and focus on.”
Miriam said: “I really enjoyed teaching and sharing my passion for photography and mental health wellbeing.
“Combining the two has introduced me to a wonderful group of people, who have inspired me and given me the confidence to teach.
“Focusing on a creative outlet really helps your mind relax and the mixture of wellbeing exercises really helps to calm your senses.”
The course starts on Wednesday, January 22, and runs for six weeks. Sessions take place from 10am to 11am at Jelleyman’s Heritage Arts Charity, Puxton Lane, Kidderminster.
The cost is £10 per class. To enrol, email Miriam at [email protected] or call or text her to: 07789 381448
In a slight change from the first course, the first three weeks of the course will be at The Jelleyman’s Heritage Arts Charity and the last 3 weeks will be on location in and around Kidderminster.
