THE COMMUNITY cafe at Wolverley Memorial Hall is running a fun and quirky ‘Silly Dads’ competition to celebrate Father’s Day.
Customers are being invited to send in humorous pictures of their dads and their antics which will be displayed in the cafe in the run up to this year’s Father’s Day on June 15.
The funniest photo will be rewarded with a free ploughman’s lunch and a pint of ale for the winning dad and a guest of his choice.
The panel of judges will be made up of the team of volunteers who help to run the cafe.
Cafe manager Kate Mellar said: “We are enjoying our reputation locally as a friendly, fun place to visit.
““We hold regular ‘Eat,Drink and Learn’ sessions where people can try a new activity – circus skills was particularly popular.
“And we’re always open to new ideas.”
Fun photos of dad should be handed in to the cafe or emailed to: [email protected] no later than next Monday, June 2.
The winner will be announced that week at: facebook.com/wolverleymemorialcommunitycafe – the Community Cafe Facebook page.
Wolverley Community Cafe is open from 10.30am to 3.30pm, Tuesday to Friday.
