A WORCESTERSHIRE charity founded to support children through cancer treatments has received a welcomed funding boost.
The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, headquartered in Worcester, have received a welcomed £8,305 from Arbury Motor Group.
Arbury Motor Group,a franchised dealer, have supported the trust since 2023, following the charity’s support of Arbury’s group head of fleet and business sales James Mackay, whose daughter Emilia received treatment for a very rare condition called Aplastic Anaemia.
Following previous donations from Arbury, the group launched an initiative to donate £5 to charity for every Peugeot customer satisfaction survey received earlier this year, resulting in £8,305 so far.
Ben Archer, managing director at Arbury, commented: “The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust is a wonderful charity that’s very close to our hearts.
“When we heard about Emilia’s journey and the challenges she and her family are facing, it was important to us to rally behind such an important mission.
The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust was founded in 2016 in memory of 4-year-old Grace Elizabeth Kelly who passed away in 2014.
The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust provide financial, practical and emotional support to families with children going through cancer treatment.
In addition, they fund research into rare and aggressive childhood cancers, educate families and clinicians about the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer and provide information to help children and families understand treatments.
Archer continued: “We’re very proud of our Team Arbury culture, and I’m proud to see us coming together as a team to raise vital funds and awareness for this important cause.
“No family should fight childhood cancer alone, and here at Arbury, we want to help make a meaningful impact.”
Arbury Motor Group has a Peugeot dealership in Bromsgrove as well as premises in various other regions of the West Midlands.
