KIDDERMINSTER’S Dan Rowbottom started the 2025 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season with a podium finish.
Rowbottom finished third in the first race of the season at Donington Park.
The Kidderminster driver then finished fifth in race two and sixth in race three driving for NAPA Racing UK.
Rowbottom sits fifth in the drivers’ standings with NAPA Racing second in the teams standings by virtue of the finishing positions in the final race of the weekend.
The NAPA Racing driver underwent major heart surgery over the winter before signing a new two-year deal to remain with the team.
And Rowbottom believes he has addressed his weaknesses in the off season and hopes to find more balance on the track.
Rowbottom said: “It was a good start, it’s always a dynamic Championship, you’ve got to learn to love it.
“It was a long winter and I had a lot of time where I could do nothing.
“I was able to look inwardly and realise the bits that I wasn’t doing very well and the bits I was doing well.
“I’ve had to balance it out a little bit and hopefully it’s all good.”
The BTCC season continues at Brands Hatch on the weekend of May 10 and 11.
