BEWDLEY Town eased into the next round of the Marsh Challenge Cup following an emphatic 6-0 victory away at Carterton.
A brace from Jack Bailey and further goals from Mike Bridges, Kai Del Kiffin, Ryan Bangay and Jake Hollylee sealed a comprehensive victory for the visitors at Swinbrook Road.
Bewdley broke the deadlock on 11 minutes when Bridges drove the ball home following a well-worked move.
And Bailey doubled the away side’s lead just two minutes later as he swivelled and smashed the ball home after Carterton coughed up possession deep inside their own half.
The visitors all but sealed their place in the next round two minutes before half time when Del Kiffin touched the ball home following a loose backpass.
Bewdley picked up where they left off after the break as Bailey scored his second of the game on 49 minutes with a fine header.
And Bangay stretched the away side’s lead five minutes later as he drove into the box and fired a rasping shot past the goalkeeper.
Substitute Hollylee completed the scoring when he rounded the goalkeeper and calmly finished into an empty net.
Bewdley are next in action against Cheltenham Saracens on Saturday, November 2 with kick-off at 3pm at Petersfield Park.
