FORMER Kidderminster Harriers striker Kobe Hall scored a first-half hat-trick as Stourport Swifts suffered a 4-1 defeat against Bromsgrove Sporting in pre-season.
Hall scored a 32-minute treble to put Sporting in command at Walshes Meadow after Craig Tuckley drew Swifts level early on.
And Rouslers captain Reece King completed the scoring late on with Stourport unable to mount a comeback against their Step Three opponents.
Bromsgrove broke the deadlock after just three minutes when Hall finished on the rebound after Billy Shaw saw his initial effort saved by Swifts goalkeeper Tom Hayward.
However, Stourport equalised just two minutes later when the home side delivered a cross into the box and Tuckley headed the ball past Adam Harrison.
And Tuckley almost completed the turnaround soon after only for Harrison to keep out the forward’s powerful effort.
The chances continued to flow as Sporting striker Luke Benbow headed King’s cross wide of the target.
However, Sporting reclaimed the lead on 18 minutes as Hall grabbed his second of the game after seeing his initial effort blocked.
Hall almost scored again just past the half-hour mark as his attempted chip went narrowly over the crossbar.
The young striker eventually completed his hat-trick on 35 minutes with a shot from inside the penalty area which struck the post on its way into the net.
And Hall almost scored a fourth goal shortly before half time as Swifts goalkeeper Hayward made a crucial save when one-on-one.
A trialist came off the bench for Sporting in the second period and almost extended the away side’s lead only to hit the post with the goal at his mercy after he took the ball around the goalkeeper.
Rouslers skipper King completed the scoring two minutes from time when he headed in Jack Kelly’s corner.
Stourport are next in action against Worcester Raiders on Tuesday, July 15 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Walshes Meadow.
