PHIL Brown praised his side’s resilience after Kidderminster Harriers battled to a vital 1-0 win at promotion rivals Brackley Town.
An early goal from Ashley Hemmings proved decisive at St. James Park as Harriers secured a fourth straight league victory.
The result means Kidderminster sit second in the National League North table, just two points behind leaders Scunthorpe United with six games left to play.
And Brown felt his side showed enough bottle to come away with the points and leapfrog Brackley in the table.
Brown said: “I was happy in the main about the resilience of the performance, these pressure cooker situations crop up every so often.
“It always going to be about bottle, we didn’t show enough quality on the ball but just enough bottle.
“We put our heads in and our bodies on the line, the players are stepping up to the plate now at the business end of the season.
“Hemmo is in that rich vein of form, long may that continue, if that can keep going for another five or six games we might have half a chance.
“It’s not about momentum, it’s about being at the right end of the division in the right position at the right time of the season.”
The game’s only goal came after just four minutes as Hemmings superbly glanced David Worrall’s cross from the right into the net via the aid of the post.
Kidderminster are next in action against Peterborough Sports on Saturday, March 29 with kick-off at 3pm at Aggborough.
