HOLY Trinity School will represent Kidderminster Harriers in the Premier League Primary Stars under-11 national girls’ football tournament.

The regional qualifiers are hosted by West Bromwich Albion with the winners of the competition to reach the national finals.

Harriers will compete against nine other clubs in the regional qualifiers.

Harriers community trust head, Nick Griffiths said: “Holy Trinity have done exceptionally well to qualify for this tournament. We are proud to have them represent us.”

The national finals take place at Molineux Stadium with clubs to wear the kit of their respective professional football club.

More than 14,500 girls took part in last year’s regional events.

Launched in 2017, the Premier League Primary Stars programme is available to every primary school in England and Wales.

Premier League charitable fund chief executive, Ruth Shaw OBE, said: “The Premier League Primary Stars Under-11 National Girls Football Tournament is an incredible opportunity for girls across the country to participate in exciting and fun football activity.

“The regional tournaments bring young people from diverse backgrounds together, and gives them a memorable opportunity to represent their professional football club.

“I hope that everyone enjoys the day, and I look forward to seeing some of you later this year at the finals.”
