ADAM Murray admits there is a ‘good feeling’ around Kidderminster Harriers following the conclusion of the club’s pre-season schedule.
Murray’s side ended pre-season with a 2-1 home defeat against National League side Solihull Moors at Aggborough.
Harriers won four and lost two of their pre-season matches under new boss Murray.
And Murray hopes his side can feed off the positive atmosphere around the club ahead of his side’s National League North opener this weekend.
Murray said: “I’m really pleased. We’ve had some really good competition and we’ve been tested in all kinds of ways.
“I’ve been over the moon with the output and we’ve still got things I feel we need to get better at and improve on.
“I’m seeing it all over the park in terms of different relationships and different connections. Things are flowing a little bit better.
“It’s all about next week, we’re in a good place. Myself and the team can’t do it on our own.
“Especially at home, we need that tremendous support, the fans have been amazing in pre-season at home and away.
“Next week is the start of the real journey and we need the fans in full voice and in their numbers.
“Then it’s our job to give them something to shout about.
“I’m excited, there’s a real good feeling and energy around the place, and I think we’ve had some great performances in pre-season that we can be really positive about.”
Kidderminster begin their league campaign with a home game against Scarborough Athletic on Saturday, August 9 with kick-off at 3pm at Aggborough.
