KIDDERMINSTER Harriers pair Ashley Hemmings and Amari Morgan-Smith have signed new deals to remain with the club next season.

The duo scored 51 goals between them last season while Hemmings ended the campaign as the National League North’s top scorer with 30 goals.

Recently-appointed Harriers boss Adam Murray believes both players will prove ‘priceless’ as the club target promotion next season.

Murray said: “I’ve worked with Hemmo at two clubs before, so I know very well what quality he brings.

“You can see he has become a serial winner and obviously knows what it takes to get success now, so I am over the moon he is playing with us.

“I actually played with Morgs for a bit at Luton, a really short crossover but, again, he’s an unbelievable professional with an unbelievable mentality.

“He brings so much to the team on the pitch but off the pitch as well, he’s a leader.

“These kinds of people are priceless, and to have people staying with us but not only know what the football club is about but understand what this league is about what and what it takes to get out of it – you can’t put a price on it.

“I am over the moon to have them both with us and hopefully they’ll be a massive part of what we’re doing.”

Hemmings has made more than 200 appearances for Harriers since joining the club in 2019.

The 34-year-old almost fired Kidderminster to promotion last season as Harriers suffered defeat in the National League North play-off semi-finals.

And strike partner Morgan-Smith is also staying on at Aggborough after the 36-year-old scored 18 goals last season.

Morgan-Smith is in his second spell with Harriers and has made more than 250 appearances for the club.
