FOOTBALL - Stourport Swifts discover league allocation for 2025/26 season

STOURPORT Swifts have discovered which league they will play in next season after the FA released the National League System (NLS) club allocations for steps two to six.

Swifts will again play in the Midland Football League Premier Division in 2025/26.

Stourport finished 10th in the MFL Premier last term and are currently searching for a new manager following the resignation of Ben Jevons.

A total of three teams achieved promotion into the division – Abbey Hulton United, Coton Green and Winsford United.

Both Hanley Town and Lye Town have dropped into the division after suffering relegation from the step above last term.

Highgate United will also play in the division next season after receiving a repreive due to OJM Black Country failing to meet the stadium accreditation requirements.




The other teams Stourport will come up against next season are: 1874 Northwich, AFC Wulfrunians, Brocton, Dudley Town, Northwich Victoria, Romulus, Stone Old Alleynians, Studley, Tividale, Uttoxeter Town and Whitchurch Alport.

The league comprises 18 teams.


All leagues are subject to FA Council ratification.
