FORMER Stourport Hockey Club player Lottie Atkinson has won a bronze medal on the international stage with Wales.
Atkinson helped Wales to a 1-0 victory against Poland in the Women’s FIH Hockey Nations Cup 2 third-place match.
Wales overcame hosts Poland to claim bronze after France beat Uruguay via a penalty shootout to win gold.
Atkinson was appearing in her first tournament for Wales in Walcz.
Wales finished second in their group behind eventual winners France in the preliminary round.
And Wales then suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat against Uruguay in the semi-finals.
However, Wales bounced back to claim bronze as Lily Roberts scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory against Poland.
