STOURPORT Boat Club celebrated 13 race victories across the different age categories at the Bewdley Regatta.

Stourport single sculler Catherine McNabb continued her winning streak with victory in the final of her race by four lengths.

And J15 sculler Ed Chandler triumphed in a hard-fought final which went down to the wire.

Stourport’s mixed E quad of Sharon Salter, Jane Ryman, Andy Harris and Stew Barnett claimed a comfortable win in their race.

And crew member Harris secured a first-ever sculling success.

The open double of Luke Barnett and Jimmy Watson showed their class to win their race by a comprehensive margin.

Stourport’s women’s masters E quad of Julia Saunders, Deb Barnett, Liz Danby and Sara Peace won a tight contest against a crew from Stratford.

And the masters E 2x of Salter and Ryman won their event, overcoming an E to F handicap.

Stourport J18 pair Sophie Davis and Alice Dorrell also won their event ahead of a Pengwern crew by three lengths.

And the masters eight E crew of Gary Howson, Steve Lilley, Nigel Parker, Lee Evans, Chris Bird, Harris, Pete Spencer and Barnett, coxed by Michelle Chancellor won a thrilling race by a quarter of a length.

Stourport eventually reeled in opponents Worcester in a handicap race.

The club’s development squad also took to the water, mentored by Stu Cambell, and claimed victory by more than a length against another Stratford crew.

The crew of Sally Moon, Annabelle Perry, Rachel Moon and Claudine Harmon, with Michelle Chandler at cox, tasted victory.

Stourport’s masters E quad then beat a Warwick crew by three quarters of a length

Barnett triumphed in a single following an explosive start and hung on to win by three lengths.

Salter and Ryman claimed a three and a half lengths victory in the masters E double.

And the club’s two development crews raced against each other in the final of the coxed quad event.

Just three quarters of a length separated them at the finish line as Harmon, Moon, Georgina Worsley and Jane Palmer, with Sophie Dimambro at cox, took the race win.
