CIAN Harries admits he needs to ‘prove himself’ again after completing a season-long loan move to Kidderminster Harriers.
Harries has made the move to Aggborough from Kidderminster’s National League rivals Forest Green Rovers.
The 28-year-old centre-back endured a frustrating 2025/26 campaign which saw him play just 30 minutes of competitive football owing to injuries.
However, despite his injury struggles last term, Harries believes he remains one of the division’s best in his position.
Harries said: “I’m glad to get it done early and I’m looking to get my teeth into pre-season.
“It would be nice to get playing again and enjoying my football after a bit of a confusing year last year.
“I’m just looking forward to getting my head down and proving myself.
“You’ve always got a point to prove on a daily basis, it’s good to get the bit between your teeth.
“I might be deluded but in my head I’m one of the best in my position in this division.
“I’ve proved that over the last two years. It’s just about going out and showing what I’m capable of again.
Harries almost linked up with current Harriers boss Paul Wotton at the latter’s former club Torquay United last season.
And the former Coventry City defender admits Kidderminster’s history and traditions made it an easy decision to make the move to Aggborough.
Harries added: “It’s easy to invest in something when the football club is as established as Kidderminster is.
“When the opportunity came up, that was me set on coming here. I’m looking forward to it.
“It’s a proper, established lower league football club with good history and good traditions.
“He [Paul Wotton] understood my reasoning for not going down to work with him at Torquay last year and how straight down the line he was.
“And that is all you you want in a manager – trust, honesty and respect both ways.”
