FOOTBALL - Olly Tipton admits Aggborough has a 'familiar' feel after making Kidderminster Harriers move

OLLY Tipton admits Aggborough has a ‘familiar feel’ after joining Kidderminster Harriers ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Tipton makes the move to Harriers following two seasons at Solihull Moors in the National League.

The 22-year-old left Damson Park following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign after starting his career at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

And Tipton wants to show the Harriers fans what he can do on the pitch next term.

Tipton said: “I’m familiar with the place, absolutely buzzing to be here and ready to get going.

“I can’t wait to get back on the Aggborough pitch and show people what I’m about.

“It was unbelievable to be at a homegrown club [Wolves] because I from around the area.

“But my time had come to go and show myself in men’s football.

“I played two seasons at Solihull and really enjoyed my time there.

“But I’m ready to move forward now, come here and show what I’m about.”

Tipton spent time on loan at Notts County in League Two before making the decision to leave Wolves and join Moors.

And the versatile defender, who can also play in holding midfield, wanted to complete a move to Harriers as soon as he became aware of the club’s interest.

Tipton added: “A time comes when you have to go and earn your stripes.

“Nothing is given to you. To step out into the big world and show what you’re about is credit to anyone who can do it.

“I’ve been to a few games, the fans and everything about the club, as soon as I heard about it I just really wanted to grasp it and get it done.

“From where I’m from, I’ve always known Kidderminster Harriers.

“To have an opportunity to play for them, it means more.”
